In maintenance I really understood what it cost to own property. I was always installing, repairing and servicing in order to keep things working.
In construction I understood what it took to bring an idea together and now finally the cost and planning it takes to accomplish that task.
True cost of ownership is the initial cost and the cost to maintain the property or equipment you purchase. This usually means the cheapest initial cost is the most expense to own and the most expensive initially is the cheapest to own.
